This policy explains how Alumbra Lighting (“we”) handles information in our project and quoting application (the “App”), used by our staff and by customers who sign in to follow their projects.

Information we keep

• Account details for people we invite: name, email address and a securely hashed password.
• Business records for our work with you: quotes, projects, orders, deliveries, documents, invoices and related notes.
• Technical data needed to keep you signed in (a session cookie) and to keep the App secure.

QuickBooks

We connect the App to our own QuickBooks Online company to create invoices and purchase orders and to read their payment status. Data exchanged with QuickBooks is limited to what is needed for our accounting with you. Access tokens are stored encrypted, and we can disconnect at any time.

How we use it

Only to run our business with you: preparing quotes, managing and reporting on your projects, ordering and delivering products, billing and support. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Sharing

With service providers that run the App for us (hosting, backups, accounting software), bound to protect it; and when required by law.

Security and retention

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and backups are kept in separate encrypted storage. We keep records as long as needed for our business and legal obligations.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or delete your account information by contacting our office. Some business records must be kept for accounting and legal reasons.
